The bond between CPE Italia and Germany is growing stronger and stronger.

From June 3 to 5, we were in Cologne for ANGA COM 2025.

ANGA COM, Europe’s leading exhibition and conference for broadband, television, and online, featured over 500 exhibitors and an outstanding number of 22,000 participants. Exhibitors came from 42 countries, while visitors traveled to Cologne from more than 80 nations. The international conference program, with 3,000 participants, was opened by Hendrik Wüst, Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, with a keynote speech.

The Premier inevitably referred to the incident on June 4, 2025: during construction work in the Deutz district, an arsenal of three World War II bombs equipped with impact fuzes was discovered. This discovery led to the evacuation of an area with a radius of about 1 km, involving approximately 20,500 people and including critical infrastructures such as hospitals, schools, and railway stations. This massive evacuation operation caused significant disruptions to urban and suburban traffic, with substantial delays on both railways and roads.

Despite this incident, which was unrelated to the expo, ANGACOM 2025 was a success!

For us at CPE Italia, the focus was mainly on two new products:

The first is the innovative optical termination drawer with a capacity of 288 fibers, ideal for central offices, POPs, and data centers, designed to optimize space in all high-fiber-density environments. The drawer was developed by the CPE Italia research and development department.

The second product we wanted to highlight, which garnered great interest from the audience, is the new version of the optical fiber blowing machine V2 from our Swedish partner Jetting AB. The V2, a powerful and versatile machine, has been further improved based on our requests, with the introduction of some modifications that make it even easier to use and maintain.

Our specialists from the telecommunications division, Roberto Ceccarelli and Riccardo Ramacci, returned from Cologne tired but very satisfied. ANGACOM once again proves to be one of the best venues to meet old friends and new customers, and in our case, an important showcase for our entry into the German market.

Between demonstrations and meetings, we never forgot the most important aspect: the human one! We can’t forget the laughs and smiles shared with our customers around the foosball table at our booth. After long hours of work at the fair, a good game is just what we needed to unwind!
